About Tom Olschlager:
I am the ninth of ten children born to Arnold and Margaret (Peters) Olschlager. I grew up on West 101st Street in Cleveland, Ohio. I currently reside in Seven Hills with my wife, Mary Ann. We have three grown children, Matthew, Eric, and Meghan.
For most of my thirty year business career, I have worked in and around manufacturing, primarily dealing with motion control and power transmission distribution. I started in the warehouse and had the privilege of excellent mentors who taught me the art of applying products such as electric motors, enclosed gear boxes, safety interlocks, etc. to meet the needs of our customers manufacturing processes. Working in this industry led me to realize the importance of manufacturing to the economy of Cuyahoga County. I believe manufacturing is the backbone of our economy.
