I Believe:
- I believe that Cuyahoga County, and Cleveland, Ohio is truly the "best location in the nation". I believe that we can accomplish awsome things if we put our minds to it, put our shoulders to the wheel, and work as a team.
- What has happened in the County Office Building is beyound inexcusable. I believe that we have been victims of actual crimes. We must ensure that safeguards are put into place to ensure that this cannot happen ever again. I believe that it is us, the "regular" people that will get it done. We simply cannot trust career politicans on this matter anymore. As far as I am concerned, they have lost our trust and they must earn it back again.
- I believe that all government Employees within Cuyahoga County should be encouraged to use Metrohealth as their primary care facility. The Taxpayers have supported the Health and Human Services issue every time it needs renewal. By providing government Employees with care through what I believe to be the best healthcare facility in town, and by collecting on receivables via those insurance plans, we can ensure that the Taxpayers get more bang for their buck.
- I believe that we have been given an opportunity by the voters of the County. This is an an opportunity to start over. It is too important to leave to the politicians.
- We all have the equal right and opportunity to be successful. However, there are no guarantees.
- Competition breeds innovation. That is why Cleveland has been the world's leader in new products, innovation, and inventions. I believe that Cleveland can be that World leader again!
- I believe that if you hold an elected County office and you wish to run for another office, you MUST first resign the office you hold, regardless of how much time is left on your term. Let your petition to be put on the ballot serve as your immediate resignation.
- I believe in term limits. Two full terms (for the even number districts, two full terms plus these first two years) period.
- I believe that forty five thousand dollars in salary is much too high for a "part time" position.
- I believe that under no circumstances, should any resident of Cuyahoga County be forced to pay more than 2.25% in municipal taxes reagardless of where they work and live.
- I believe that politicians are guilty until proven innocent. If proven innocent, then I believe the jury has been tampered with.
- I believe that promises are just meant to get someone elected. I believe that those who make promises have no intention, for the most part, of keeping them.
- I believe in goals. Goals are qualitied, quantified, dated and obtainable. I believe that we should set goals, not make promises.
- For every new manufacturing job, between 5 an 8 support jobs are required. If we bring just 20,000 NEW manufacturing jobs to our area, we can facilitate the "creation" of 100,000 NEW jobs! That is fully one quarter of the 400,000 jobs that the failing Governor, Ted Strickland, and his friends are directly responsible for chasing out of Ohio.
On Defense:
- I believe that our military should be equiped with the newest, best and most effective technology and weapons. These are young people who volunteer to be killed for you and me. The least that we can do is give them a superior chance to win in a decisive manner.
